Fashion Friday- Blushing Beauty

| Friday, March 23, 2012

Throw your bright colors aside this Spring and opt for subtle yet striking blush hues and nude tones

Blush in the Closet

Alexander Wang created this simply gorgeous dress!

This fun and flowy dress by Preen (Thornton Bregazzi) is great for a night on the town. Make it more casual by pairing it with a denim or leather jacket.

Marc Jacobs has done it again!
This dress is young, fun and easy to wear- perfect for a long summer night!

Blush on your face

Blush tones can be worn on all skin tones...

A light dusting over the lids and cheeks can achieve a 'beautiful blushing' effect.
Line the water line with a white pencil to brighten the eye

A matte peachy tone creates a nude base on olive skin tones

Blush with a copper undertone on dark skin creates a gorgeous undeniable glow!

Blush on your hair

For the non-commital fashionista wanting a *POP* of color in their hair, session stylist Kevin Murphy created the 'color bug'
The color bug is easy to use AND it rinses out with water!
Try creating an 'ombre effect' by using the bug on your ends and mid shaft of your hair.

The color bug can be used on all hair colors from your lightest of blondes to the darkest of chocolates

Rachel 'cute-as-a-button' McAdams opted for around the face color placement in pink. A funky addition to her vintage-esque dress

Placing the color on random strands, roots-to-ends, creates a hilight effect.
Try using multiple colors for some diversity!

Don't get too wild though-less is more especially if paired with beautiful blush or nude threads and makeup.

So blush this weekend or play it nude-Either way, you'll be turning heads!

Happy Friday!
