Fashion addicts are Optimists
as
Fall hasn't even happened
Yet, designers, bloggers, models and fashionista's alike
are obsessing about Spring 2013
Spring/Summer 2013 Carl Kapp
New York fashion week opened September 5th with the usual-
Speeches, thank you's, you know, the obligatory stuff.
Then yesterday happened
Thursday kicked off at 9AM, with Nicholas K's collection
Models started down the stark white runway sporting flowy threads
reminiscent of seasons past.
Pantone tangerine successfully holding onto future cred,
geometric patterns that can be worn by the most modest fashion lover,
and sweater wraps that drape with utmost perfection
Makeup was kept simple, pretty
Bronzed cheeks, monochromatic lids and natural, nude lips
Next up was BCBG where all fashion goers alike swarmed (we assume, as we weren't there)
to get a glimpse at what they'll be sporting in Spring
Subdued patterns in mute colors reared their beautiful heads
and, once again, hues of tangerine make an appearance so not to be forgotten
Makeup of choice
Defined brow, smokey liner, contoured cheeks and a stained pout
Oh! And unkempt hair, purrr
11am rolled in and so did Richard Chai's runway show
Pastel water colors accompanied by varying patterns
with designs that appeared to be influenced by sporty garb
In the past, geometric liner was thought to be big and bold,
It appears as though Spring 2013 has a more diluted take on the look
Escorted with flawless skin and au natural lips and brows,
the look is easily achieved with max impact
That's a wrap of Day 1 at Spring/Summer 2013
